Satya Bharti Schools

In India, EAC is supporting the Bharti Foundation over four years to reach 48,200 out of school children in India through its flagship program, the Satya Bharti Schools Program.

By 2016, the project will reach up to 48,200 out of school children.  The project creates opportunities for the enrolment of out of school children through existing Satya Bharti Schools spread across 254 villages in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. 

It also supports Government schools in enrolling and retaining out of school children by providing remedial education in bridge course centers. 

Project implementation takes place in phases starting with the initial pilot in year one and then scaling up of activities within existing and new states in the following years.

The Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises was established in 2000 with a vision to help underprivileged children and young people in India realize their potential. Currently, more than 42,000 students are enrolled across 254 Satya Bharti Schools in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
