The Foundation’s current focus is to bridge the education divide by creating programmes in rural India that bring about sustainable change through quality education. The Foundation contributes to the nation’s education agenda through its flagship rural education initiative – the Satya Bharti School Programme. This programme reaches thousands of underprivileged children, with a focus on the girl child and children from marginalised communities. Currently, more than 42,000 students are enrolled across 254 Satya Bharti Schools in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Ultimately, it aims to develop replicable and scalable models of quality education.

In India, EAC is supporting the Bharti Foundation over four years to reach 48,200 out of school children in India through its flagship program, the Satya Bharti Schools Program.
